Welcome to Equinoxio, Center for Linguistic and Cultural Studies in Cuenca, Ecuador Located in Southern Ecuador, we are a center for studying various languages, including Spanish, Quichua, and English. Our directors have over 30 years of experience in teaching and administration, supported by a team of friendly and knowledgeable teachers and staff. With us, you can enjoy a full immersion in the Spanish language through our daily academic and cultural activities, such as city tours, Ecuadorian cuisine, Latin rhythms, tastings of Ecuadorian products, visits to museums, markets, tourist sites, artisanal factories, and much more. These experiences help you learn Spanish while exploring the local culture. We’re located in the historic center of Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can walk everywhere without needing public or private transport. You can combine Spanish lessons with beautiful walks along the city’s rivers, bike rides, park visits, or enjoying delicious coffee or chocolate at local cafes and chocolatiers. Ecuador is known for having the world’s finest cacao, and you can savor it with traditional Cuenca sweets. We offer a great Spanish immersion experience with programs and activities designed to create interesting and fun courses for children, teenagers and adults. Cuenca, recognized as a Cultural Heritage city, is known for its exemplary use of Spanish in the country and around Latin America. We are a group of professionals with 25 years of experience in teaching, tourism, and administration, offering our services. Here, it is easy to walk or use the public transport and private taxis. The Equinoxio Center is certified by Ecuador's Ministry of Labor for students under specific programs. Our facilities are in a modern, well-decorated republican-style house full of natural light. WE OFFER: * Classrooms accommodating up to 6 or 8 students each * A fully equipped kitchen for activities related to Ecuadorian Gastronomy, including tastings of local and national food products. * An administrative office * A fully equipped library * A main hall for various cultural and academic events. Among our tourist and academic activities, we include city tours. As a Cultural Center, we also offer workshops on Music, Art, Latin American Culture, crafts, and more; ensuring students have an unforgettable vacation in Cuenca, where the climate ranges between 15C and 25C year-round.
